Day 1 of our 5 Day Beginner Learn Yoga Challenge.
In this class learn what yoga is and how YES you can do it. This series is designed to help you start a yoga practice from scratch. If you’ve ever tried to practice on your own with a random video online, you know that there are some shapes, some movements, and definitely some terms that are essential to understand before you feel like a yogi. Jenn is here to make this introduction to your inner yogi manageable and accessible.
In this class, we will explore the most common directions of movement in yoga, get familiar with the importance of breath, and introduce a few concepts and names. You will be moving and learning through experience! Please have: something to bring the floor closer (blocks, books, a chair), and a strap or belt (bathrobe ties work great, or even a long tea towel). A large folded blanket or towel will also be helpful for poses on the floor.
